The grip is a tad long. The leather covering stitching flares into a lare welt that is a hot spot.Speaking of hot spots, there is a two-inch area underneath the handguard that is quite sharp. It felt identical to my long sword in weight and handle but now I can swing indoors. If you wanna save a couple bucks get the wood but if you want to swing steel then this would be it.

Purchased item as a gift for my boyfriend so he can practice indoors. He has been using it a lot.

Weight and heft on this are near perfect. Great investment for indoor training.

My one remark is that the corners were not rounded well enough and were fairly sharp on the hand, especially for an indoor trainer. So I just have to mention that to be fair. A quick dressing with a file and a little polish and it was perfect. Having said that. I love this thing!! The balance isn't 100% but it's absolutely awesome for indoor training.
