We will use extra glue to hold tight the grip, pommel, and nut. It will not unscrew without extra heat applied to the pommel. This creates a stronger solid blade. But limited options for swapping out the blade later.

We worked with some folk at Austin Historical Combat Guild to get a shorter, quicker sword. This is what we came up with for superior training and tournament fighting.

Made in Hungary to special specifications for Purpleheart Armoury, and upgraded with a USA-made stainless steel pommel.

Very lightweight feder
The VB Tournament feder with rolled tip performs great. I teach Fiore at my club (Holmgang Southern Illinois) and have found it works great so far. The feder is very lightweight and point of balance is very close to the hand so it doesn't feel much like a proper longsword, but understandable since it makes it safer for sparring.

Excellent Custom Feder
The servicing and products from Purpleheart Armoury have alway been great. But, Christian and the team outdid themselves with the custom feder. I read once that it helps immensely to ‘love’ your weapon of choice.
