Shamshir steel trainer
Feels heavier than the advertised 1 lb. 9 oz. Handle is a bit long, too. The leather stitching has a large welt on the bottom of the grip, very irritating without some type of glove.

Shamshir.
I had my doubts originally but it has stood up very well. It is blade heavy but other than that it's a hidden gem.

Shamshir
Just got my Shamshir in. I love the weight and feel of it. I got it for SCA C&T. I should work great. Be aware that the stiffness of the blade is to much for regular SCA rapier fighting.

With so few Shamshirs on the market this sword is fantastic, it handling makes it easily my favorite sword to train with. My only complaint is that the blade is a bit stiff
